Greetings from Africair, your authorized Textron Aviation distributor!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has responded with questions or comments to our prior editions of the SkyCourier Newsletter. Today’s edition of the SkyCourier Newsletter addresses another frequently asked question, “What will the SkyCourier cost”?
Textron Aviation has established the following preliminary baseline pricing and entry into service dates for the three SkyCourier variants – cargo, passenger non-pressurized, and passenger fully pressurized:
Varient (model) | Year Planned for entry into service |
Estimated Price |
Cargo | 2020 | $5,500,000.00 |
Passenger non-pressurized | 2020 | $6,300,000.00 |
Passenger pressurized | TBD | $7,000,000.00 |
These baseline prices are quoted in 2017 US Dollars and will be adjusted to reflect changes in the Consumer Price Index, Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W), U.S. City Average, 1982-84 = 100 as published by the U.S. Department of Labor-Bureau of Labor Statistics through the year of delivery. Final pricing and the applicable adjustment formula will be established when an LOI or purchase agreement is signed.
All three SkyCourier variants will be equipped with the G1000 Nxi avionics in the cockpit, which will be well equipped, much like the Caravan baseline package. The cargo and non-pressurized passenger versions will share the same large cargo door in the aft cabin.
