On Friday, July 25th Africair, Inc. delivered three new Cessna 172 Skyhawks that had been retrofitted with the CENTURION Diesel engines to Ethiopian Airlines.
Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, the aircraft were greeted by excited students, faculty and staff of the Ethiopian Airlines Aviation Academy.
The arrival of the three Centurion Aircraft Engines Cessna 172’s was a culmination of hard work and planning by both companies, and marked a continuation of Africair’s commitment to support EAL’s world class training academy.
After the arrival, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held and remarks were given by Travis Tinsey of Africair and Samuel Assefa, Director of EAL’s Aviation Academy. In attendance were members of Ethiopian Airlines’ Fleet Planning staff who all worked diligently to bring the three aircraft to Ethiopia to augment their training fleet. Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Ethiopian Airlines’ Chief Operating Officer, was also in attendance and expressed his appreciation of Africair’s continued support.
