Africair, Inc. is a proud supporter of the Colobus Conservation.
Colobus Conservation is a not-for-profit organization working to support, promote and advocate forest conservation to ensure the long-term survival of the Angolan black and white colobus monkey and other primates on the South Coast of Kenya, mainly in Diani.
The organization was founded in January 1997 as a result of local residents in Diani becoming extremely concerned by the impact of human development on the populations of primate species in the area, especially due to the number of road accidents involving colobus monkeys.
With the loss of over 80% of the forest in Diani, the need for Colobus Conservation’s work has intensified over the years and they now deliver a portfolio of programs focusing on habitat conservation, community linkages, people/primate conflict management, animal welfare, education and research.
